Title: Effect of Temperature on Corrosion Resistance of X80 Pipeline Steel
Abstract: The effects of temperature on the corrosion resistance of X80 pipeline steel were investigated under high temperature and pressure autoclave by simulating the actual environment of an oil field using mass loss method,SEM and XRD.The results show that: the average and pitting corrosion rate increases first and then drops down with the increase of temperature. There is no integrate corrosion product scale on the surface of samples at 30 ℃,so average and pitting corrosion rate are smallest;the maximum of average corrosion rate occurs at 60 ℃,and the corrosion product is put off severely, but the phenomenon of pitting corrosion is not obvious;when the temperature is 90 ℃,there is a biggest difference between average corrosion rate and pitting corrosion rate;the average and pitting corrosion rate of X80 pipeline steel are lower than that of at 60 ℃and 90 ℃.That is because the combination among corrosion product, matrix and layers are compact, which can make good protective action for matrix.
