Title: The Buddhist influence on family notion in Han Dynasty: a look at the unearthed Han stone engravings
Abstract: The engravings of the Han Dynasty(stone engraving relics, brick engravings, copper mirrors, tomb frescos and characters on them) represent a symbolic world created by the Han people based on their own living environments. In these crafts they expressed their desire and hope.As a kind of folk art buried underground for 2000 years and escaping damage from numerous wars,it vividly records the influence of early Buddhism on the traditional family notions in the Han Dynasty. This illustrates the pattern of spreading Buddhism among the folks, reflecting the Buddhist influence on them.A systematic study of such materials will be of much significance in enriching the data of Buddhism in early Han Dynasty, concluding the means of spreading and making a correction to the general academic thought.
