Title: Relationship between surface soil salinization features and vegetation development in southern Qinwangchuan basin
Abstract: Based on the analysis of surface soil salinity in southern Qinwangchuan basin, combined with NDVI values extracted from remote sensing data, this paper focuses on the characteristics of the surface salinization and the connection between the soil salinity and vegetation growth. The results indicate that there is salinization(with soil salinity within the scope 2~4 dS/cm) in part of the study area, and only a few areas are moderate salinization(with soil salinity at 7.09 dS/cm).Within the soil section(0~20 cm),the mean soil salinity increases with the rising depth. The soil salinity almost keeps at a stable level where the depth is between 10 and 20 cm.The soil salinity rises gradually from north to south. With the growing of soil salinity, the NDVI value decreases gradually.
