Title: Effects of platelet-derived growth factor and osteoprotegerin on functions of osteoblast cell in vitro
Abstract: Objective:To do research on the influence of osteoblast cells about platelet-derived growth factor and the connection among platelet-derived growth factor and osteoprotegerin on osteoblast cells. Methods :The osteoblast cells used were isolated from the calvariae of neonatal (one-day-old) rabbits by sequential enzymatic digestion and bony tissues. The cells were identified with histology and enzymohistochemical observation, induced by the anti-rabbit antibody of PDGF-BB and OPG, analyzed with osteoblast cells on multiplication, differentiation, mineralization and the expression of OPG mRNA. Results: The anti-rabbit antibody PDGF-BB groups were much significantly lower than that of control groups, this effect depends on the dose of antibody. Conclusions:The osteoblast cells were restrained by the anti-rabbit antibody PDGF-BB on multiplication, maturation, building of bone and expression of OPG mRAN.
