Abstract:Remote sensing data being used for marine fisheries fast-forecast can only get the ocean surface environmental information.However,Argo profiles can provide deeper thermohaline data.In order to improv...Remote sensing data being used for marine fisheries fast-forecast can only get the ocean surface environmental information.However,Argo profiles can provide deeper thermohaline data.In order to improve the fishery forecasting quality,it is necessary to analyze the spatial distribution and change about Argo floats observation numbers.The statistics during 2001 to 2008 show that,the Argo floats observation depth is less than 2 200 m.There are some ways to distinguish the Argo float observations.It is classified into six parts according to the number of the observations,whose boundary is 200 m,500 m,1 000 m,1 500 m and 2 000 m,respectively.It also can be classified into four parts according to the vertical resolution.,whose boundary is 200 m,400 m,1 000 m and 2 000 m,respectively,the vertical resolution is 5 m,10 m,50 m and 20 m,50 m respectively.The coverage percentage is different in various regions.It is the highest in the Atlantic Ocean,the lowest in the Pacific Ocean and medium in the Indian Ocean.The grid coverage percentage in northern hemisphere is significantly higher than the Southern Hemisphere.The coverage percentage decreases as the depth more than 1 500 m,especially more than 1 700 m.Read More
