Abstract:In view of the idea that non-smooth groove surface can reduce turbulent flow drag,triangle grooves are arranged on the surface of high-speed rotors.With RNG k-e turbulence model,the 3D flow field of t...In view of the idea that non-smooth groove surface can reduce turbulent flow drag,triangle grooves are arranged on the surface of high-speed rotors.With RNG k-e turbulence model,the 3D flow field of triangle grooves has been simulated to calculate the total drag coefficient of both smooth and non-smooth rotors respectively.In comparison with the wall shear stress of the two rotors,the result shows that high-speed rotors with minute non-smooth groove can make reduction on drag to a certain extent.In addition,both depth and interval of grooves affect total drag force.Compared to smooth rotors,the maximum rate of drag reduction is up to 1.284%.Read More
