Title: Finite Volume Element Application in Containment Shell Numerical Simulation Under Blast Shock Wave
Abstract: Interaction with blast shock wave and structure is a 3-D dynamic process. When it is simulated with numerical method, only finite element method can't reappear material dynamic response. The paper presents a new method that the finite element and the finite volume approach are combined, and introduce its advantages. In the case of the interaction with blast shock wave generated from 3000kg effective blast yield and containment structure in nuclear power plant, the paper simulates structure dynamic response and give results about effective stress, displacement, velocity and acceleration and time curves..
