Abstract:ZnO nanorod arrays were grown on the glass substrates using solution method with hexamethylenetetramine(HMTA)and zinc acetate at 95℃.The nanorods properties were characterized by Xray diffraction,scan...ZnO nanorod arrays were grown on the glass substrates using solution method with hexamethylenetetramine(HMTA)and zinc acetate at 95℃.The nanorods properties were characterized by Xray diffraction,scanning electron microscope and spectrometer.Effects of Zn2+concentration and Zn2+to HMTA ratio on the properties of the nanorods were studied.The nanorod size and properties are very sensitive to Zn2+concentration and Zn2+to HMTA ratio.Increasing in Zn2+concentration promotes preferential growth along c axis.And increasing in HMTA to Zn2+ratio increases nanorod diameter and length.The nanrods have strong UV emission and weak visible emission.Annealing at 350℃ weakens UV emission of the nanorods.Read More
