Title: A clinical analysis on fungal maxillary sinusitis
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the diagnosis and treatment on fungal maxillary sinusitis.Methods The clinical data of 48 cases of fungal maxillary sinusitis were studied retrospectively .Results 36 cases were undergone endoscopic sinus surgery and maxillary sinus fenestration (double pathway),another 12 cases were undergone endoscopic sinus surgery (single pathway).The rate of recurrence of double pathway was 0 case while single pathway was 2 cases.The period of convalescence of double pathway was ( 4.6±0.5) weeks while single pathway was (8.2±1.3) weeks.Conclusion Clinical appearance and CT of paranasal sinus are helpful to the diagnosis of fungal maxillary sinusitis,but the best diagnosis must depend on pathology.The operation of double pathway is superior to that of single pathway.
