Title: Clinical efficacy and safety of lornoxicam or sulfentanyl on controlled intravenous analgesia after oral and maxillofacial operation
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of lornoxicam or sulfentanyl on patient controlled intravenous analgesia( PCIA) in postoperative patients with oral and maxillofacial operation( OMS).Methods Fifty-eight patients with oral and maxillofacial operation were randomly divided into treatment group( n = 28) and control group( n = 30).Patients in the treatment group were given lornoxicam32 mg + granisetron 3 mg + 0.9% Na Cl up to 100 m L PCIA.And patients in the control group were administrated of sulfentanyl 1 mg·kg-1+ granisetron 3 mg + 0.9% Na Cl up to 100 m L PCIA.After operation4,8,12,24 and 48 h,the pain control satisfaction and PCIA related adverse drug reactions such as nausea and vomiting and dizzy were evaluated between the two groups. Results The pain control, sedation effects and pain relief satisfaction had no statistical difference between the two groups in the above time points( P 0.05).The PCIA related nausea and vomit or dizzy in treatment group was 3.6% which was significant lower than that in control group 23.3%( P 0.05).Conclusion Compared with sulfentanyl,Lornoxicam had the same pain control and sedation effects for PCIA in patients with oral and maxillofacial operation, but with less nausea and vomiting or dizzy adverse drug reactions.
