Title: Clinical experimence on operation with LASIK,LASEK treated with wavefront guided techniques
Abstract: Objective To investigate the influences of wavefront guided techniques on patients with different operations and different refractions. Methods Patients, whose root mean square(RMS) values were over 0.3, were divided into five groups according to their refractions. There are 40 patients in Group 1(-0.75~3.00DS),Group 2(-3.00~6.00DS) and Group 3(-6.00DS) respectively. And a half of each group patients were applied conventional laser in sim keratomileusis(LASIK) with Planoscan, the other were applied wavefront guided LASIK with Zyoptix. All 20 patien ts(40eyes) of Group 4(-0.75DS~3.00DS) and Group 5(-3.00DS~-6.00DS) had wavefront guided laser-assisted subepithelial keratectomy (LASEK).Total corneal, coma and spherical aberration values were measured by Zywave aberrometer preoperatively and 3 months postoperatively for all eyes. Results The total corneal spherical and coma aberrations deviration of patients with Planoscan is smaller than that of patients with Zyoptix in Group 1.2.3.The total corneal spherical and coma aberrations increased 0.093;-0.137;0.015 after wavefront guided LASEK in Group 4;and 0.382;0.012;0.314 after wavefront guided LASEK in Group 5. Conclusions For low and low-moderate myopia with higher RMS,wavefront guided LASIK induced less changes in total corneal, spherical and coma aberration than conventional LASIK significantly. Moreover, wavefront guided LASEK had better results than wavefront guide LASIK in aberration changes for low-moderate myopia. There were no statistically significance to moderate myopia with LASIK and LASEK.
