Title: STUDIES ON PHASE DIAGRAM IN THE PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF UREA-SODA-AMMONIUM CHLORIDE
Abstract: For the purpose of production of soda by the urea melt left from the reactor by reaction with NaCl, the phase diagram of the Na~+, NH_4~+/HCO_3~-, Cl~-, (NH_2)_2 CO, H_2O system has been studied. In comparison with the Na~+, NH_4~+/HCO_2~-, Cl~-, H_2O system, the amount of water content is much less for the urea saturated system. At the univariant point, if there is no urea present in the solution, Na-utilization coefficient is equal to 83.1%, while that for the solution saturated with urea is equal to 85.8%. For the purpose of separating the mixed fertilizer of urea-ammonium chloride from NaHCO_3 mother liquor, the phase diagram of the (NH_2)_2CO-NaCl-NH_4Cl-H_2O system at 35 and 100℃ has also been studied, The difference in solubilities at different temperatures is helpful in the separation of the urea-ammonium chloride mixed fertilizer. On the basis of these two kinds of phase diagrams, a combined production process was proposed and a material balance calculation was made
