Title: Screening the cell-proliferation-associated genes expressed in colorectal cancer by gene chips
Abstract: Objective To screen the cell-proliferation-associated genes expressed in colorectal cancer by gene chips. Methods The HG-U133 Plus2.0 gene chips were used to analyze gene expression profiles of colorectal adenocarcinoma and normal tissues. The results were analyzed by bioinformatic techniques. Results Compared with normal tissues,a total of 1 200 genes with more than 2-fold differential expression were detected in adenocarcinoma tissues,of which,474 and 726 genes were up-regulated and down-regulated,respectively.Among the 1 200 genes,127 genes were relevant to the biological process of cell proliferation,of which,66 genes were up-regulated and 61 genes were down-regulated.Conclusion The results suggest that 127 cell-proliferation-associated genes expressed in colorectal cancer might be the targets of gene therapy.
