Title: Shaking Table Test Model Design in Different Structures
Abstract: Scaled model is more widely used with the popularity of the shaking table around the world.In shaking table test,model design principle is so various with the type of tested structure that different methods were proposed in this paper.The stress scale factor difference between concrete and steel has to be considered into the model design for reinforced concrete(RC) structures,while for steel structures,the key point lies in the non-reduced scale of the steel material.Based on the similitude theory and member equivalent principle,shaking table model design formula was deduced in this paper for RC structures and steel structures,respectively.Examples were given to show the application of the formula.
