S...According to Kuhn’s paradigm theory, a science or discipline evolves in replacement of paradigms by following a path of pre-science, normal science, abnormality, crises, revolution, and new science. Seen in this perspective, Chinese translation studies has clearly developed from the copying machine paradigm, the literature-art paradigm, the linguistics paradigm, the communication paradigm, the culture paradigm to the current corpus-based paradigm. And the directions into which the corpus-based paradigm will develop can also be predicted. Meanwhile, the present research proves that a new paradigm absorbs elements constructive to itself in an old one, which is contrary to Kuhn’s viewpoint.Read More
