Abstract:Objective To investigate the hepatitis B virus(HBV) genotype distribution of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) tumour tissues.Methods HBV genotypes were analyzed by nested-PCR using type-specific primers ...Objective To investigate the hepatitis B virus(HBV) genotype distribution of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) tumour tissues.Methods HBV genotypes were analyzed by nested-PCR using type-specific primers and Webbased genotyping tool in 63 HCC tumour tissues.Control samples were done in 60 serum of HBV carriers.Results HBV genotype distribution among HCC tumour tissues were 31.8%,58.7%,6.3% and 3.2% for genotype B,C,mixed B+C and mixed B+D,respectively.There was no statistically significant difference in the distribution of HBV genotypes between HCC tumour tissues and serum of HBV carriers(P0.05).Conclusion HBV genotype B,C,mixed B+C and mixed B+D exist in HCC tumour tissues from southern China.And genotype C is the major genotype in this area.HBV genotype distribution of HCC tissues is associated with that of HBV carriers.Read More
