Abstract: The Poisson approximation theorem is an interesting subject both in theoretical and practical senses for our age. This paper generalizes research results to more general cases and obtains a few compound Poisson convergence theorems. Some bounds for the total variation distance between the distributions of the partial sum of independent non-negative integer-valued random variables and appropriate compound Poisson distributions are given in two kinds of different methods.
