Title: Status and influential factors of cancer-related fatigue
Abstract: OBJECTIVE:To investigate the status of fatigue in cancer patients and its affecting factors.METHODS:Totally 300 cancer-related fatigue patients were investigate by Fatigue Symptom Inventory,and demographic characteristic questionnaire and personal interview methods were used.The degree and duration of fatigue and the influence of life quality and the data of the tumor and related treatment were collected.The data analysis and influential factors were performed by variance analysis of SPSS 13.0 software.RESULTS:Gender,times of chemotherapy,radiotherapy,biological targeting therapy,endocrine therapy,leucopenia and thrombocytopenia were not significantly related to fatigue (P0.05);age,cancer stage and zoledronic acid were significantly related to the duration of fatigue(P0.05);anemia was significantly related to the degree of fatigue and the influence of life quality(P0.05).The patients during the chemotherapy,tumor progression and regular exercise were significantly related to fatigue (P0.05).CONCLUSIONS:The fatigue is significantly associated with chemotherapy and tumor progression.The stage of cancer,chemotherapy,advanced age,anemia,regular exercise and special medicine are all the influential factors of cancer-related fatigue.
