Title: A novel user terminal Hybrid reactive power compensation control strategies based on Power electronic switch
Abstract: The emergence of Flexible AC Transmission Systems technologies,becomes a new method of improving the controllability and reliability of power system,which is one of the frontal subjects of power system in recent years.Thyristor Controlled Series Compensator(TCSC) and Static Var Compensator(SVC) are the important elements of FACTS and useful tools to improve the power system stability.The research on TCSC and SVC to the power system has significant theoretical meaning and practial value.This paper studies TCSC,SVC characteristics then the parameters of the model are derived.Simulation model is done in Matlab and set up two kinds of FACTS devices SVC and TCSC simulation model.TCSC as the series compensation,can successively changes the equivalent impedance.then change the level of the series compensation.SVC as a parallel compensation which improving system power factor.By changing the triggering angle of the thyristor to control of the thyristor.
