Methods Thirty rabbits with VX2 hepatic tumors were divided into three groups randomly. Each group was infused with 37℃ saline, 37℃ ADM-lipidol and 60℃ ADM-lipidol respectively via hepatic artery. The hemodynamic indexes of the tumor, hepatic artery and portal vein were recorded with Doppler ultrasonography 1 week after perfusion. These findings were compared with those before treatment. Results The group dealt with 60℃ ADM-lipidol showed that hepatic artery velocities were lower obviously than those before treatment ( P 0.05), and the resistance indexes were larger ( P 0.05). However the velocities and the diameters of portal vein were no change compared with those before treatment ( P 0.05). The blood flow signals in and para-tumors were richer before perfusion with power and color Doppler ultrasound. These blood flow signals became less significantly, even disappeared than those before heat-embolization. Conclusion The heat-embolization with 60℃ ADM-lipidol can block the blood supplement of hepatic VX2 tumors in rabbit effectively. The blood flow changes can be detected with power and Doppler ultrasound, so it benefits for therapy effect evaluation of ADM-lipidol heat-embolization in hepatic tumor in time.Read More
