Abstract:Objective:To explore the early treament of maxillary canine-lateral incisor's incomplete transposition in order to guide the normal development of occlusion.Method:Eight patients with incomplete trans...Objective:To explore the early treament of maxillary canine-lateral incisor's incomplete transposition in order to guide the normal development of occlusion.Method:Eight patients with incomplete transpositional maxillary canine and lateral incisor were treated using 2×4 technique: making incision,flap and guiding canine back to its normal position with assissted wire.Result:Eight patients had satisfactory treatment effect with normal position of canine and lateral incisor after 8 to 12 months of treatment.Conclusion:Maxillary canine-lateral incisor's incomplete transposition should be treated early to avoid root resorption of lateral incisor and complete transposition.The key of early treatment is to reduce the moving resistance between canine and lateral incisor.Read More
