Title: THE PERCEPTION OF THE SOCIALIST COMMERCIAL ECONOMY BY THE COLLECTIVE LEADERSHIP OF THE FIRST GENERATION AROUND THE 8TH CONGRESS OF THE CCP
Abstract: Around the 8th Congress of the Chinese Communist Party, the collective leadership of the first generation made a valuable exploration into the socialist commercial production , its nature, scope, and the role played by the law of value and price in socialist commercial economy as well as macroeconomic regulation and control, which laid an important ideological foundation for the advance of DENG Xiao-ping's theory on social commercial economy. However, they failed to go forward on the basis of these positive results and complete their perception of socialist commercial economy. The reasons for this lie in the influences exerted by traditional ideas and the Soviet economic pattern, in the difficulty in understanding the economic law and the complicated conditions in China.
