Title: Expression and significance of Hepcidin,LPS and IL-6 in the patients with cancer-related anemia
Abstract: Objective To study the expression and significance of Hepcidin,LPS and IL-6 in patients with cancer-related anemia. Methods To test the serum levels of Hepcidin,LPS and IL-6 in 190 cases, including 50 cases with cancer-related anemia and 140 cases of non-anemia with tumor by ABC-ELISA.Results ①The serum levels of Hepcidin in patients with cancer-related anemia were higher than control group(51.99±32.56 μg/L vs 36.63±31.99 μg/L,P0.01).②The serum levels of LPS和IL-6 in patients with cancer-related anemia were 75.33±62.63 ug/L and 39.36±82.60 ng/L respectively, which were all higher than in cases of non-anemia with tumor respectively(63.43±38.76 μg/L and 10.38±22.00 ng/L respectively,P0.05).③ In patients with cancer-related anemia, there were positive correlation both Hepcidin and LPS(r=0.397,t=2.996,P0.01),and were positive correlation both Hepcidin and IL-6(r=0.302,t=2.201,P0.05).④In patients with cancer-related anemia, there were no correlation between Hemoglobin and Hepcidin,LPS,and IL-6 respectively. Conclusion The expression of Hepcidin,LPS and IL-6 in patients with cancer-related anemia, and there were positive correlation both Hepcidin and LPS(r=0.397,t=2.996,P0.01),and there were positive correlation among Hepcidin,LPS and IL-6).They may be one of factors contributed the cancer-related anemia in patients with tumor.
