Abstract: In Renjian Cihua,WANG Guo-wei proposes the aesthetic propositions ofthe Veiled(ge)andthe Unveiled(bu ge).The meaning ofthe Unveiledembodied in three aspects:sincere,the unity of subject and object,the mixture of scenes and emotions,and the unity of content and form.From the point of its theoretical source,it comes from western's intuitive theory on the one hand,and on the other hand,Chinese traditional poetics itself attaches importance to intuitive theory.In a deeper sense,the thought ofthe Unveiledlinks to the philosophy thought of the sympathy between spirit and object in Chinese tradition.Wang Guowei thinks highly ofthe Unveiled,and he sees it as the standard of evaluating poetry.However,as an aesthetic category,the Veiledalso has its beauty ofyi nei yan wai.The later aestheticians don't stick to old opinions.On the contrary,they develop their own discourse.he basic difference betweenthe Veiledandthe Unveiledis whether it's sincere or not.Above all,they are all the aesthetic category emerged on the basis of the theory ofJingjie.
