Title: Relevant research on urine NGAL in the changes of ESWL between preoperation and postoperation
Abstract: Objective To study urine NGAL(neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin,uNGAL) test on forecast the clinical significance of early renal injury after ESWL and to look for a better biochemical criterion that early prediction of acute kidney injury(AKI),and to provide the basis for the time interval of ESWL.Methods Screening of 30 patients with kidney stones and respectively collected the specimen of urine at ESWL preoperative and postoperative 2h,6h,12h,24h,48h,1w and 2w.Apply ELISA for testing the urine NGAL levels of patients and analysis the numerical of NGAL.And then deduced the NGAL associated with renal function changes of ESWL postoperative. Results The expression of postoperative urine NGAL compared with preoperative had obvious changes,NGAL levels began to rise at 2h after postoperative and reached a peak between the 6h and 24h after postoperative, and began to decline at 48h,1w was still higher than preoperative, recovered to preoperative levels after 2w.Conclusion NGAL can be used as evaluation index of early acute kidney injury.Detecting urine NGAL levels may be as a noninvasive and effective detection method to evaluation of early renal injury caused by ESWL,and it can guide the time interval of ESWL treatment.
