Title: Unbalanced Development of Economy and Society in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia
Abstract: From 1970s to 1990s, in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia the social development fell behind their economic development. The improvement of population quality, social welfare and the achievement of eliminating poverty didn't keep pace with the rapid economic development. The reasons for the uneven development are that the governments of the three countries can't handle the relations between economic growth and social equity properly.
