Title: Effects of Long-term Application of Potassium and Organic Fertilizer on Leaf Area Index and Yield Components of Rice in Red Soil Paddy Field
Abstract: The long-term located fertilization experiments have been implemented in red soil paddy field for 29 years.Measurement and analysis of leaf area index(LAI) and yield components of rice in this experimental field were conducted. The results showed that the additive application of potassium and organic fertilizer could increase the LAI of rice in heading period by 13.0% and 47.0% respectively. The effect coefficient of potassium and organic fertilizer was 13.0% and 14.3% separately. After the application of potassium, the number of productive ears, total grains per ear, setting rate and kilo-grain weight were increased by 5.1%,15.3%,0.8% and 5.5% respectively.Application of organic fertilizer could decrease the number of productive ears by 1.3%,total grains per ear by-11.8%,setting rate by 2.0%,and kilo-grain weight by 13.0%.
