Abstract:Hybrid fiber reinforced plastics is a new type composite.In this article a calculation formula for fiber volume fraction of hybrid fibers was deduced,four linear was designed though changed the hybrid...Hybrid fiber reinforced plastics is a new type composite.In this article a calculation formula for fiber volume fraction of hybrid fibers was deduced,four linear was designed though changed the hybrid ratio and the tensile properties was studied.Fracture shape and the fracture mechanism was observed and analyzed.The result indicates that the tensile breaking process of the hybrid fiber reinforced plastics has a close relation with fibers' strength,elongation and resin's properties.The density of hybrid yarn decreased as the content of polyester increasing,however,the elongation rate at break of the plates increased.The tensile strength of specimens and the content percentage of polyester have a nearly quadratic relationship;the minimum tensile strength appeared while the polyester fiber content is about 60.682%,when the plates have secondary breaking.Read More
