Title: Effects of waste glass aggregate on concrete strength
Abstract: Waste glass was used to substitute the coarse and fine aggregate of normal concrete to form waste glass aggregate concrete.Effects of glass substitution rate and substitution type on concrete performance were studied by the slump constant, compressive strength, and other tests. With the glass substitution rate increasing, concrete slump constant increases.Slump constant of glass stones concrete is more than of glass sand concrete.Compressive strength decreases with increasing of glass substitution rate, but low substitution rate had no significant effect. The compressive strength increasing ratio of concrete containing waste glass with curing age is higher than that of ordinary concrete.Compressive strength increases with the increasing of crushing index of coarse aggregate, which meets linear relationship of Bowromi Formula.Effects of fly ash or slag mixing on compressive strength are as same as on ordinary concrete.
