Title: Effects of Taxinine and Related Analogues from Taxus chinensis var.mairei and T.cuspidata on the Proliferation of MCF-7 Human Breast Cancer Cells
Abstract: The effects of 15 taxinine and related analogues from Taxus chinensis var.mairei and T.cuspidata on the proliferation of MCF-7 human breast cancer cells were evaluated by MTT assays. After treatment with taxinine and related analogues(10~-9~10~-5 mol/L) for 48 h and 72 h,compounds 1,2,5,6 and 10 inhibited the proliferation of MCF-7 cells at 10~-5 mol/L significantly(P0.05,P0.01).When the cells were exposed to taxinine and related analogues at the concentration of 10~-5 mol/L for 72 h,the inhibited fractions of the proliferation of MCF-7 cells treated with compounds 1,2,5,6 and 10 were 44%,30.1%,20.1%,13.3% and 23.3%,respectively.The inhibition effects by those compounds on the proliferation of MCF-7 cells were in time-dependent manner within 24~72 h.
