The nitrogen and phosphorus removal of Lemna minor was investigated when the illumination time,the initial biomass of Lemna minor ,nitrogen and phosphorus in the tested water were changed. The results showed that the removal for N and P was increasing with illumination time and initial biomass of Lemna minor. When the initial concentration of phosphorus was higher,per unit weight of Lemna minor could absorb more phosphorus. The removal rate for PO43-P could reach 90% to 95% when the concentration of NO-3-N varied from 0mg/L to 60mg/L. When the concentration of NO-3-N was below 10mg/L,no NO-3-N was detected in the wastewater treated with Lemna minor.Read More
