Title: Synthesis of Poly(Triethylene Glycol) Carbonate Diol Catalyzed by KOH/γ-Al_2O_3
Abstract: The poly(triethylene glycol) carbonate diol(PTEGCDL) with low cost, excellent performance was prepared by transesterification polycondensation reaction using diethyl carbonate(DEC) and triethylene glycol(TEG) as raw materials, KOH/ γ-Al2O3 as catalyst. The influence of reaction conditions on the process was investigated, the optimal synthesis technology conditions were obtained. The target product of PTEGCDL was obtained by first reaction for 3 h at 150 ~160 ℃ under normal pressure, then reaction for 5 h at 180 ℃ under reduced pressure when the catalyst mass is 0.5% of the TEG mass. The structure of the obtained product was characterized, and the possible reaction mechanism was explored.
