Methods Twenty-six patients with intractable pelvic hemorrhage were treated with TAE. After identification of the bleeding arteries, TAE was performed with gelatin sponge or coils. Results Hemorrhage was controlled in all patients. The patient's condition, such as blood pressure and symptoms, improved gradually after treatment. No complication associated with the procedure and recurrence of hemorrhage was found in the follow-up period of 6 to 24 months. Condusion Transcatheter arterial embolization can control massive pelvic hemorrhage effectively and safely.Read More
