Title: Inhibitory Effects of Imazalil EC on Penicillium italicum and Penicillium digitatum of Orange
Abstract: Experiment results showed that Imazalil(500g/L) emulsifiable concentuates(EC) had a significant role in inhibiting Penicillium italicum Wehmer and Penicillium digitatum Saec on orange. The EC_(50) of Imazalil on P.italicum and P.digitatum was 0.0136mg/kg and 0.0129mg/kg respectively. When oranges were dipped into the liquid with Imazalil 400~800mg/kg for 1 min, then dried and encased, and maintained under natural conditions for 60 days, the inhibiting effect on P.italicum and P.digitatum was 93.11%~96.48%,which was significantly higher than that with 600mg/kg of 70% Thiophanate-methyl(84.30%).During orange storage Imazalil did not produce harmful effect on color, luster and taste of oranges.
