Title: On Western Feminism Translation Theory and Strategies
Abstract: In 1980s,western feminism turned their focus on translation from language, and the western feminism translation theory which is based on the philosophy of Jacques Lacan,Roland Barthes and Jacques Derrida has developed. The theory negates the pure language translation and emphasizes on using all kinds of translation methods to intervene the texts in order to realize creativity rebellion.By adopting the general translation strategies which are supplementing, prefacing and footnoting and hijacking or appropriation the feminist translators could oppugn and revise the original text to stress the female characteristics. However, the overemphasis of translator's control and intervention of language, survey the male civilization from the points of female,female-centered and exclusion of male, all of these obscure the works of feminist translators. Therefore, only seeing from a dialectical view of feminism translation can help the development of translation.
