Abstract:The paper tries to carry on the research on the tendency of regional economic inequality on GDP per capita in Guangdong province during the period of 1995-2004 by Williamson index,Gini index and Theil...The paper tries to carry on the research on the tendency of regional economic inequality on GDP per capita in Guangdong province during the period of 1995-2004 by Williamson index,Gini index and Theil index.According to Theil index decomposability,we divide the overall regional economic inequality in Guangdong Province into four parts:the inequality between Peal River Delta,the East and West and the mountainous region and the inequality inside and analyze each part's share in the total regional economic inequality.We find that the regional economic inequality in Guangdong Province has been continuously enlarging from 1995 to 2004 and it mainly consists of the inequality between three regions and the inequality inside Peal River Delta.Read More
