Title: Study of Buddhist Terms Written in Chinese Characters in Korean Language
Abstract: With the spread of Buddhism,a great amount of Buddhist sutras were translated and various Buddhistrituals were frequently performed in China and Korea.Languages in the two countries thus have been greatlyinfluenced:systems of vocabulary building become more perfect and new words including expressions used indaily life and special idioms have been absorbed.The spread of Buddhism not only made a new type of words,namely Buddhist terms written in Chinese characters in Korean language created but also caused a phoneticdifferential between Chinese and Korean.
