Title: Reevaluation of the Historical Achievements of the Chu People——On the Inheritance of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Chu and Han Cultures
Abstract: The story that the Chu nation with less than three households were destined to overthrow the Qin Dynasty has been told for more than two thousand and two hundred years, and it has even been mistaken as a historical destiny.Against the background of warring states, the historical change that resulted in the collapse of the Qin Dynasty is headed by the glorification of individual value and evolvement of the human pursuit, and it further touches the redefinition of People and Hero. There is little doubt about the statement that it's a single man(i.e.Liu Bang, first emperor of the Han Dynasty) that has led the Han nation to thrive, yet historians often neglect the fact that Chu and Han are interlinked, and some even take pleasure in denouncing Liu Bang's contributions. The fact is that Liu Bang is a great saint just as Sima Qin(a famous historian in the Han Dynasty) has put it.History will not grant the Chu nation another chance, hence the descendents of the Chu and Han nations have only to take pride in their past and advocate the inheritance of the intangible cultural heritage.
