Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of gingkgo injection on hyperoxic lung injury in preterm rats,therefor to provide the theoretical surportion of gingkgo injection to prevention and treatment of hyp...Objective To investigate the effect of gingkgo injection on hyperoxic lung injury in preterm rats,therefor to provide the theoretical surportion of gingkgo injection to prevention and treatment of hyperoxic preterm lung injury.Methods Three day old preterm rats of SD were randomly assigned to:Ⅰ.room air group.Ⅱ.hyperoxia group (≥90% oxygen).Ⅲ. room air + gingkgo injection group.Ⅳ. hyperoxia+gingkgo injection group. After 3 days and 7 days of exposure , the lung wet weight /dry weight ratio(W/D ), tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),total protein and malondialdehyde (MDA ) in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) were determined and lung histophathological changes were examined in all groups.Results Compared with groupⅡ,W/D、TNF-α、MDA in group Ⅳ significantly reduced on day 3(P0.05,0.01,0.05 respectively)and TNF-α、total protein、MDA in group Ⅳ all significantly reduced on day 7(P0.05,0.05,0.01 respectively).Compared with group I, TNF-α、MDA in group Ⅳ still increased on day 3 (both P0. 01)and TNF-α、total protein 、MDA in group Ⅳ still increased on day 7 (all P0. 01). Pulmonary pathologic changes were alleviated in group Ⅳ comparing with groupⅡ.Conclusion Gingkgo injection may have a protective role against hyperoxia-induced pulmonary damage in preterm rats.Read More
