Abstract:An investigation on the general teaching self-efficacy and CALL self-efficacy of college English teachers in three colleges /universities of Hubei Province indicates that:( 1) Most College English tea...An investigation on the general teaching self-efficacy and CALL self-efficacy of college English teachers in three colleges /universities of Hubei Province indicates that:( 1) Most College English teachers have positive general teaching self-efficacy and CALL self- efficacy;( 2) Gender exerts significant impacts neither on College English teachers' general teaching self-efficacy nor CALL self-efficacy;( 3) Years of teaching have significant influence on College English teachers' CALL self-efficacy,the tendency being that the more years of teaching they have,the higher the level of their CALL self-efficacy is; those with 1—5 years of teaching have significantly lower CALL self-efficacy;( 4) College English Teachers' general teaching self-efficacy and their CALL self-efficacy bear no significant relationship to each other,and they are two mutually independent psychological constructs.
