Title: Changes of cells apoptosis in the bone marrow induced by low doses of irradiation
Abstract: Objective: To observe the changes of the apoptotic rate of mice bone marrow cells induced by low doses of irradiation and to find out early biological monitoring indexes. Methods: Mice were killed at different time after Co60 says had irradiated the whole body, the bone marrow cells were isolated, the mononuclear was prepared and suspended in PBS,then stained with PI and FITC-Annexinv and analyzed with BD FACSAria flow cytometer, subsequently. Results: It was found that only 6h after exposed to low doses of irradiation, the apoptotic rates in the early phase of mice bone marrow cells were significantly higher than that in control(P0.05,P0.01),and that of apoptosis in the late phase and cell death were in dose-dependent manner. The decrease of WBC in mice blood and the elevation of MN in mice bone marrow cells were at 24-30 h.Conclusion: It suggested that low doses of irradiation would increase the apoptotic rate of mice bone marrow cells, the detection of the apoptotic would be regarded as an early biological monitoring index among people who expose to low dose irradiation.
