Title: Chapter 19: Analytical Remarks of Anti-economic Globalism
Abstract: Globalization has been a buzzword in recent years. The author is of the opinion that globalization is an irreversible trend. Although globalization presents China with a double-edged sword, China has no other choice but join the global economic division of labour and become a link in the production chain. It cannot, and even should not, seek anymore to remain a self-contained production system on its own. The first wave of globalization began with the great diaspora of mankind from the Great Rift Valley of East Africa. Tribal groups were formed out of interactions and conflicts among primitive tribes, which was the second wave of globalization. Anti-globalism has an innate connection with protectionism. As the neoliberal logic of globalization is actually the main logic of capitalism, outright anti-globalization means opposition to capitalism itself. Keywords:anti-globalization; capitalism; protectionism
