Abstract: Rain garden,a new construction technique for energy-saving green belt,is applied to the building of ring and Aquatic Plant Garden in Chenshan Botanical Garden of Shanghai.And it performs perfectly in several aspects.Firstly,through retaining and infiltrating the rainwater,and configuring the functional plants appropriately,it replaces the rough traditional rainwater management,which means reallocating the water recourse and supplementing groundwater in garden;secondly,through filtering the rainwater,the rain garden can control water body pollution,which improves the green environment in Chenshan Botanical Garden,and optimizes the reallocation of urban water recourse.At the same time,it brings new green landscape,provides the citizens recreational setting.Besides,it provides theoretical and practical bases for the utilization and management of the urban water recourse,especially rainwater.In sum,the construction technology of rain garden in Chenshan Botanical Garden is a kind of comprehensive technology bringing economic,social and ecological benefits at the same time,which contains great significance for the urban ecological and sustainable development.
