Public concern is also rising over microbiological and chemical contamination of potable water supplies around the country. The use of new potable water treatment technology is going to be one of the ways providers meet the new demands on the quality of their water supply. At the other end of the water treatment chain, the way New Zealand treats its wastewater is being shaped by the no-longer-so-new Resource Management Act. Both industrial sites trying to meet new more stringent discharge standards and local authorities upgrading municipal treatment infrastructures are having to examine some new technology options.Read More
