Title: Parallel Computing via Web Browser using HTML5 Web Worker
Abstract: This paper presents an approach of parallel computing system for web browser technology using WebSocket and Web Worker. This approach has two main advantages. Firstly, there is no additional installed program for more computation. Thus, it is easy to setup client-server. Secondly, tasks run in the background on separated threads, so it can use the power of multi-processors. This architecture was tested with a machine learning called K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) classification which the algorithm was modified to support the parallel computing.
