Morphometrical data on submerged coast slope are given. Today, out of 100 km of the Crimean Coast 83 km are intensively being destroyed and 17 km are in emergency. Coast protection by means of stone and concrete walls proved to be ineffective since the late 1960s the idea of the Crimean coast protection using artificial beaches and various wave-reflected spurs has been realized. During 25 years 34 km of the coast have been protected. Man-made beach with the square of 600000 m 2 has been constructed, various berms are widely used. Works for landslide stabilization are been done. A special attention is paid to the problem of the coastal zone ecology.Read More
