Title: The Arguments for the Most Pleasant Life in Republic IX: A Note Against the Common Interpretation
Abstract: Contrairement a l'interpretation non-hedoniste de Platon, et contre la lecture du livre IX de la «Republique» proposee par R. Kraut, l'A. defend la these naturelle selon laquelle les trois arguments de Socrate en faveur de la vie juste, fondees sur les parties de l'âme, l'amour de la sagesse et le plaisir, impliquent l'idee que la vie bonne est la plus agreable et la plus heureuse. Rejetant la distinction entre le plaisir et le bien etablie par Kraut, l'A. defend la these d'un hedonisme positif chez Platon qui s'apparente, non pas a l'hedonisme somatique critique dans le «Gorgias» et le «Phedon», mais a l'hedonisme de la vertu soutenu dans le «Protagoras».
