Title: Pathological Findings on Plasma Cell Tumor in Two Cows
Abstract: Histopathological and electron microscopical studies were performed on plasma cell tumor in two cows. Visceral lymph nodes were yellowish in color and markedly enlarged at necropsy. Histologically, infiltration and proliferation of neoplastic cells were found in sinuses of the lymph nodes and blood and lymph vessels of the whole body. Occasionally, these cells were recognized in thrombi. The noeplastic cells were round or ovoid in shape and their nuclei were located eccentircally. Multiple or giant nuclei or mitotic pictures were frequently seen. The rim of the cytoplasm was broad, basophilic and pyroninophilic. Cytoplasmic vesicles or vacuoles were frequently detected. Well-developed rough-surfaced endoplasmic reticulum and occasional fibrillar sturctures were seen in the cytoplasm of the neoplastic cell under the electron microscope.
