This investigation revealed the eurypalynous nature of the genus. Pollen grains usually tricolporate and tetracolporate, circular in polar view while equatorial outline was quite variable. On the basis of exine sculpturing under SEM three distinct pollen types were observed viz., Chalepensis type, Dentatus type and Acetosa type.
