Title: Cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA), an often missed cause of intracranial bleeding
Abstract: Background: CAA is caused by deposition of amyloid in the walls of small cortical and meningeal vessels. Clinical presentations include cognitive decline, cerebral haemorrhages and TIA like episodes. Early diagnosis is important to avoid catastrophic bleeding with antiplatelet or anticoagulant medication.
